Chesterwood, Stockbridge, MA

Chesterwood is the country home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost sculptor of public monuments, Daniel Chester French (1850-1931). Situated on 122 acres in the idyllic hamlet of Glendale near Stockbridge, Chesterwood is a beautiful and memorable backdrop for a Berkshires wedding or other special event. French masterfully combined the elegance of his formal Italianate gardens with the natural rural landscape, creating unique settings and locations for wedding ceremonies, receptions and dinner parties. The panoramic views, historic terraces, hydrangea walk, perennial gardens and sweeping lawns make gracious settings for any wedding or event.
