The Mount’s gracious and beautiful mansion and gardens, designed and built by Edith Wharton in 1902, are the perfect place for an unforgettable Berkshire wedding or special event. The 50-acre estate, with its nearly three acres of formal gardens, provides a magnificent backdrop for an experience you and your guests will treasure. This classical revival house represents the only full expression we have of Wharton’s architectural interests and is one of the mere five percent of National Historic Landmarks dedicated to women. The venue can accommodate many different types of events including both ceremonies and receptions for weddings. The Mount is approximately a two-hour drive west of Boston and a three-hour drive north of New York City.
