Bridget + Jonathan, The Pastures

Southfield, MA

Bridget and Jonathan’s Berkshire wedding and reception took place at their property in Southfield, MA — an amazing property that houses Jon’s sculpture studio and Bridget’s retreat center for women being treated for, recovering from and surviving from breast cancer.

The event began by inviting the arriving guests into Jon’s studio for the ceremony. On the way, guests received their escort cards from a table filled with gourds and pumpkins. Guests gathered around the landing that surrounds the studio to view the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was lit with candles and the bride and groom were surrounded by Jonathan’s amazing sculptures. The ceremony ended with a bagpiper’s music celebrating the newly married couple.

The cocktail hour took place throughout the house. Guests were allowed to wander into the different rooms of this contemporary home until dinner when guests were invited to dinner in the living room — a living room that sat 125 for dinner! The tables were set with beige linens and white napkins and centerpieces included various white flowers and succulents. Guests enjoyed a first course of assiette of this morning’s vegetables and Rawson Brook goat cheese and petite herbs followed by Northeast Family Farm roasted Berkshire pork loin with chorizo and white beans and carrots and natural jus.  Finally, a dessert of apple tart tatin ended with a drum brigade leading the guests out of the living room and back to the studio for music by DJ Hush and dancing. Later, 65 additional guests joined the party and were treated to cupcakes, cookies and coffee.
