Kelsey + Matthew, MASS MoCA

North Adams, MA

We were excited when Matt and Kelsey chose the holiday season for their wedding Date. Guests are always ready to celebrate in December! The weather was a concern as a typical Berkshires snowstorm could have impeded wedding guests from their arrival. Luckily the weather was typically winter, but also snow free! The ceremony took place in a church near MASS MoCA and guests only had to cross the street to get to the cocktail hour in one of MASS MoCA’s breathtaking galleries. The guests were surrounded by contemporary art while they sipped delicious cocktails and feasted on seasonally inspired hors d’oeuvres including oysters on the half shell, lamb-stuffed bok choy, mini-stuffed fingerling potatoes, salmon tartare and smoked beef canapés. Matt and Kelsey entered the dinner space by having their first dance and immediately following the dance, guests feasted on braised beef short ribs and chicken roulade. Dessert featured a most delicious multi-layered wedding cake which was quickly worked off as they danced to the energizing music of the band Bills Toupee.
