Kate + Oliver, Cricket Creek Farm

South Williamstown, MA

8.9.09

Kate and Oliver’s choice of Oliver’s family farm in South Williamstown for the Berkshire wedding site set the stage for their beautiful wedding day. The priorities for the day were clearly their love of the farm and their friends and family. This was reflected in their ceremony where they had a “circle of friends” do readings, they included family members in the music played and used the farms’ best views for the location. Following the ceremony, guests headed across the street for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres where they enjoyed frozen margaritas and cheeses from the farm, summer gazpacho soup shooters and corn cakes made with local corn. Wedding guests were then invited to the dinner tent where long tables were set with local flowers. The dinner served included a tomato and watermelon salad and roast ribeye using the farm’s own beef. The meal ended with a dessert buffet that included fresh summer berries, fruit pies, cheesecake and cookies.  A faux two-tier wedding cake was the centerpiece — made out of Cricket Creek’s own Maggie’s Round cheese (named after the family dog Maggie who happens to be a bit round in shape).
